The latest project from Catch Hospitality Group—the team behind this summer’s packed Corner Store and the newly minted Or’esh—will open its doors at 340 Bleecker Street, wedged between Christopher and West 10th.

The group’s expansion streak has been relentless, and Café Charmant signals a confident pivot from their Mediterranean and speakeasy hits to classic French brasserie territory. Co-founder Eugene Remm and partner Tilman Fertitta are betting that the West Village is ready for steak frites, chilled seafood towers, and late-night citron pressés in a space that nods to Paris but feels unmistakably New York.

Locals have already started peering through the papered windows, eager to see what will fill the former boutique’s petite footprint. Early word hints at a design heavy on brass, vintage mirrors, and marble, with a menu that balances Gallic tradition and a few New York flourishes—think duck confit, but also a burger rumored to be topped with brie.
