Ms. Lopez, known for her focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, took over at La Casa Verde in 2018. During her tenure, the bistro gained a steady local following but did not pursue high-profile acclaim.

The Carlton Room, located near Bryant Park, offers a contemporary American menu with an emphasis on refined techniques and presentation. Ms. Lopez said she aims to maintain the restaurant’s commitment to quality while bringing her own culinary perspective.

The transition is effective immediately. The Carlton Room’s ownership did not disclose further details about upcoming menu changes or staffing at this time.
